This question is still unknown. Only original developer, [[Rodolphe Quiédeville]], could answer this question. In a mail found a mailing-list, we can learn that '''Dolores Ibárruri''' was used to found this name.
A día de hoy no se conoce la respuesta. Solamente el desarrollador original, [[Rodolphe Quiédeville]], puede responder esta pregutna. En un e-mail encontrado en un mailing-list, se dice que '''Dolores Ibárruri''' es un nombre que sirvió de inspiración.

Dolibarr was started by [[Rodolphe Quiédeville]], from scratch, and saved under CVS, hosted by Savannah, in April 2002.

[[Jean-Louis Bergamo]], another [http://www.april.fr April] member, started the fundation management module.

Rodolphe works principaly on development and win a victory at the Trophées du libre in 2003, in category "Enterprise management".

This was the reason why other developers discovered this new software.
Among them [[Laurent Destailleur]] realised its first modifications to the project in december 2003.
He was then helped by [[Régis Houssin]] 1.5 year after, in june 2005.
They are the 2 main contributors until today but was helped by a lot of external cotributions from other standalone developers or companies.


* Version 2.0 was release in december 2005.
* Version 2.2 was release in december 2007.
* Version 2.5 was release in december 2008.


[[Régis Houssin]] and company [http://www.nltechno.com NLTechno] ([[Laurent Destailleur]]) are today ont important sponsors of Dolibarr by offering 2 important developers, web hosting of web sites www.dolibarr.fr / www.dolibarr.org or the CVS statistics reporting tool.
Ce fut l'occasion pour d'autres développeurs de découvrir alors l'application naissante.
Notamment Laurent Destailleur qui réalisa ces premières modifications au projet en décembre 2003.
Il fut rejoins par [[Régis Houssin]] 1 an et demi plus tard, en juin 2005.
Ces 2 derniers sont les contributeurs principaux du projet, jusqu'à ce jour.


A lot of other developers, freelances, amateurs or companies (example Auguria) contribute, with their tests, their patch submission on forum or mailng-list to the Dolibarr enhancement.
