Glossary
The goal of this page is to provide a definition of some important terms used by Dolibarr.
Discounts
A discount is a deducted amount applied on a commercial proposal, order or invoice. There is 3 kinds of discounts:
- A discount
- A drawback
- A rebate
The amount deducted is a new line on the commercial proposal, order or invoice with a negative amount. Such lines must have a VAT rate (that might be 0).
Discount
Discounts are used to reduce amount for a company because of its fidelity or good relation.
Drawback
Drawbacks are applied on commercial proposals, orders or invoices because a customer decide to pay before the normal term.
Rebate
Rebates are applied on commercial proposals, orders or invoices because a delivered product was defective.
