Definition
Products and services are often used for same thing. However they are distinct terms and differs. A service is a not material good that can be sold, bought or offered but can not be stocked contrarily to Products. A service is provided once and consumed or have a time duration.
This is how we can identify a service:
- A service is punctual (installation of material to a customer house) or have a limited duration (like a guaranty of a Product)
- A service can not be stocked into a warehouse
- It is not possible to count how many services you have in stock.
