Smart Bank Import – Dolibarr Bank Import Module

Smart Bank Import is a powerful interface that connects directly to your bank and automates your financial processes in Dolibarr ERP/CRM.

With just a few clicks, you can:

• Generate and link supplier invoices
• Record customer payments
• Manage salaries, taxes, and other financial transactions

You can also use the Android app to scan invoices on the go. The scanned documents are instantly converted into PDF files and linked to your Dolibarr system — no manual data entry needed.

Smart Bank Import offers secure connections to more than 2,353 European banks, ensuring fast, reliable, and automated financial synchronization.

1. Installation Guide: Functioning of Smart Bank Import

Step 1: Select the Language for the App

On the bottom-left corner of the Smart Bank Import app, you will find a language selector. Click it to open the list of available languages — currently there are 6 to choose from (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Dutch).

Step 2: Connect Your Bank

Connecting your bank is a quick and secure process that uses GoCardLess for safe authentication.

1. Choose your country: Select the country where your bank account is registered so the app can display the right banks for you.
2. Select your bank: From the provided list, click on your bank’s name. If you don’t find your bank, use the search bar.
3. Grant permission: You will be redirected to a secure GoCardLess page where you can log in to your online banking. This ensures your data is encrypted and safe.
4. Confirmation: Once you approve, your bank will be securely connected, and transactions will start syncing automatically in the app.

Tip: This process only gives Smart Bank Import read-only access to your transactions. Your money cannot be moved without your permission.

Step 3: Connect Your Dolibarr Account

After connecting your bank, the next step is to link your Dolibarr account.

This allows Smart Bank Import to automatically reconcile your bank transactions with your Dolibarr accounting records.

Click on the Dolibarr icon in the left menu, located just below the bank icon.

1. Enter Your Dolibarr Details

You will need to provide the following information:

• API URL: This should match the format https://yourdolibarr.com
• API Key:
  • Go to Dolibarr → Settings → User Card and copy the API key.
  • If you don’t see it, make sure the API REST module is enabled and that you have the necessary permissions.

2. Paste and Confirm

Paste your API key into Smart Bank Import and click “Confirm.”

Your Dolibarr account is now successfully linked.

For Qonto Users: Qonto users have an additional benefit — you can directly import and transfer documents from Qonto into Smart Bank Import. Just add your Qonto API key and ID into Dolibarr. Follow the official Dolibarr guide for setup.

Step 4: Using Smart Bank Import

Create an account and try it for free on https://app.smartbankimport.com/

After creating a new account, you will be able to log in to your Smart Bank Import account. You will receive a 15-day free trial, after which, against one payment, you can add one bank account for free.

Once everything is connected, you can start using Smart Bank Import for daily financial tasks.

Important Note

If the balance between Qonto and Dolibarr doesn’t match, it is usually because invoice matching hasn’t been completed.
