Getting a list into Excel in Dolibarr means going through the Exports module: building an export set, picking fields unrelated to the displayed columns, without the filters of the screen. XLExport adds an "Excel" button on every list and exports what you have in front of you.
What it does
- A button on every list, in the title bar next to the pagination: third parties, invoices, quotes, orders, products, projects, and every list of external modules that follow the Dolibarr conventions.
- What the screen shows: the columns you chose, the active filters, the current sort. Three scopes: displayed rows, all rows of the filtered list (5,000 by default, up to 50,000), or only the ticked rows.
- Typed values: amounts become real numbers ("#,##0.00" format), dates become real Excel dates, references stay text ("2026-001" never turns into a date), status badges are read by their label.
- A clean file: bold header, automatic filter, frozen pane, adjusted widths, and a second sheet that records the list, the filtered address, the date, the user and the number of rows.
- Excel or CSV: .xlsx, or CSV in UTF-8 with BOM (opens directly in Excel), separator of your choice.
Built for ordinary servers
- Generation relies on PhpSpreadsheet, already shipped with Dolibarr: nothing to install.
- Data travels in 1.5 MB chunks, within the 8 MB limit of the official image, and the file is built without ever loading the whole list in memory: above a threshold the module streams the file itself.
- The temporary file is tied to the user who asked for it, protected, and deleted on download or after one hour.
For the administrator
- One permission, "Export a list", granted by default to new users: the button only exports what the screen already shows. A "User access" card in the settings.
- Settings: row limit, Excel engine, CSV separator and encoding, excluded lists, button position.
- Export log: who exported what, when, how many rows.
Installation
Home → Setup → Modules → "Deploy/install external app/module", upload the zip and enable XLExport. The button shows up on the lists right away.

- Dolibarr 16 to 24, verified on 16.0, 18.0, 20.0, 22.0, 23.0 and 24.0.
- PHP 7.4 to 8.4, MySQL / MariaDB. eldy and md themes.
- English and French included. Email support and updates for 2 years.
