Module MaxiWidget (EN)

MaxiWidget module

Documentation française : Module_MaxiWidget

MaxiWidget provides administrator-designed, read-only Dolibarr home screens. Documented version: 1.0.1. Publisher: INCREATION. License: GPL v3 or later. User interface and PDF manuals: French and English.

Features

Home areas: main, third parties, products/services, projects, commercial and billing. Data sources: third parties, products/services, projects, customer proposals, orders and invoices.

Widgets include tables, indicators, text, horizontal and vertical bars, stacked bars in both orientations, pie charts and single-series line charts. Available calculations are count, sum, average, minimum and maximum. Each widget supports up to four cumulative fixed conditions.

Installation

Back up the installation. Deploy the archive through Dolibarr’s native external-module deployment function and activate MaxiWidget. The historical technical folder remains dolidashboard. When upgrading from DoliDashboard, back up files, settings and tables, disable the old module before replacing its files, then activate MaxiWidget. Do not delete its tables.

Configuration

  1. Open Screens and widgets and All screens. Enter a title, select the home area and create a draft.
  2. Select a data source and load its fields. Configure and save each widget.
  3. Set widget widths and order, then save the order.
  4. Review the saved draft preview before publishing.

The live preview includes unsaved changes. It does not save or publish them. The saved draft preview uses the current administrator’s permissions.

Assignments

The first editor section selects the users of the screen. All selects currently listed users; save assignments to apply. Future users require a separate assignment. One screen applies per user, entity and home area. A new assignment replaces the previous one for that area. The screen must also be published. Assignments grant no additional business permissions.

Third parties by country

Select source Third parties, horizontal bar presentation, Number of items calculation and Country [fk_pays] grouping. Count does not need a measure field. Disable following the screen filters to count all periods. Business permissions and fixed conditions still apply. Check the displayed group limit: a limited selection is not an overall total.

Charts and colors

Stacked charts require a second distribution field and support up to 20 series. Line charts contain one series and use their main color. A custom palette can contain 1 to 100 colors for bars, pie slices or stacked series. Colors follow display order and repeat as necessary; filtering or reordering may change the color of a category. Border and chart colors are independent.

Publication and recovery

Publish the saved draft to make it available to assigned users. Later changes remain in draft until published. Suspending the replacement restores the native home. Restoring a previous version loads it into the draft and requires publication to apply.

Scope and troubleshooting

Available fields depend on source and installation. Extra fields with specific permission expressions and unsupported third-party module sources are excluded. Tables display up to 100 rows with a separate total. Charts report truncation. Native invoice balance calculation rejects selections above 3,000 invoices.

If the native home remains visible, check activation, publication, assignment, entity and home area. For unexpected counts, check permissions, year/date field, search and fixed conditions. Use Check compatibility for diagnostics.

Language and manuals

The interface follows the user’s native Dolibarr language setting: French or English. Saved custom titles and text remain unchanged. New template titles use the active language.

Both manuals are included: docs/MaxiWidget_Mode_emploi_FR.pdf and docs/MaxiWidget_User_Guide_EN.pdf. The configuration link opens the manual matching the interface language.
