Overview

Field Interventions is a Dolibarr module (published by KSIDol) dedicated to managing on-site interventions, for every field business: maintenance, breakdown service, installation, on-site after-sales, mobile workshops. It turns Dolibarr's native intervention sheets into a complete tool: a clean intervention number, a vehicle or equipment sheet, planning and technician assignment, VAT-inclusive or net line entry, customer e-signature and invoicing. A KSIDol electronic signature terminal (touch device, timestamped and archived) is also available and compatible with all KSIDol modules.

Main goal of the module

The module lets a field business manage the whole intervention flow around a customer, a vehicle or a piece of equipment:

• create and follow on-site interventions, based on Dolibarr native intervention sheets
• assign each intervention a clean, unique and clickable number (IE No.)
• record vehicle or equipment data: licence plate, brand, model, version, type, serial number, mileage
• assign a technician and a planning slot, with availability and time off
• enter product, service or time lines VAT-inclusive (net recomputed) or net
• have the customer sign on site and keep a signature log
• invoice straight from the intervention and group several interventions of the same customer into a single invoice
• rename form labels and menu names to fit the business
• keep the intervention history per customer and the vehicle/equipment fleet

The module remains 100% based on Dolibarr native objects (third parties, interventions, quotes, orders, invoices, calendar): nothing is siloed, everything stays usable by the rest of Dolibarr.

Installation

Requirements

• Dolibarr 18.0 or higher
• PHP 7.4 or higher (depending on the Dolibarr version)
• Write permissions on the module documents directory

Installation steps

1. Unzip the archive to obtain an interventionexterieur/ folder.
2. Copy this folder into htdocs/custom/ of your Dolibarr installation.
3. Check write permissions on documents/interventionexterieur/.
4. Enable the module from Home → Setup → Modules/Applications.

Storage directories created

The module creates its document tree under documents/interventionexterieur/ to store attachments, PDFs and signature items linked to interventions.

Update

The update is performed by replacing the interventionexterieur/ folder with the new version, then reloading the module configuration page to apply any database migrations.

User rights and permissions

The module adds its own rights (read, create/modify, delete, configure), assignable per user or per group from Dolibarr permission management.

Menus added by the module

The module adds a dedicated main menu "Field interventions" with its own icon, giving access to the intervention list, new intervention creation, planning, vehicles/customers, signature tracking, technicians, configuration and a built-in user guide.

Detailed functional scope

1. Interventions and IE number

Each intervention is based on a Dolibarr native intervention sheet and receives a clean intervention number (IE No.), unique and clickable, independent from the native reference. The number is assigned automatically on creation.

2. Vehicle / equipment sheet

The intervention sheet is enriched with vehicle or equipment information: licence plate, brand, model, version, type, serial number, mileage. The brand/model/version/type lists are dictionaries filled automatically as you type.

3. Planning and technicians

Planning helps organise interventions and assign technicians, with availability and time off. Moving an appointment in the planning automatically re-syncs the dates and times of linked records (intervention, calendar).

4. Recurring interventions

A generator (scheduled job) can automatically create recurring interventions, with technician and calendar slot.

5. Billable lines

Product, service or time lines are entered VAT-inclusive (net recomputed) or net, with VAT applied per company/customer rule. Lines are then billable.

6. Invoicing

Invoicing is done straight from the intervention. Several interventions of the same customer can be grouped into a single invoice, with priced lines carried over.

7. Customer signature

The customer can sign electronically on site. The module keeps signature tracking and a log. The KSIDol signature terminal can support some workflows.

8. History and fleet

The intervention history is available per customer, and the vehicle/equipment fleet is accessible from the third-party record.
