BatchSafe Pro
BatchSafe Pro is a Dolibarr module for centralized batch and lot status control.
It helps organizations manage lot availability, quarantine, inspection, release, rejection and recall workflows while keeping a clear history of status changes.
BatchSafe Pro can be used independently or integrated with LabQC Pro and Warehouse Scanner Pro.
Overview
BatchSafe Pro adds an operational quality and warehouse safety layer to Dolibarr lot-controlled products.
It allows authorized users to assign and manage controlled statuses for each lot and provides additional protection for warehouse operations when used with compatible PanciucSoft modules.

Main features
Central Batch Control
BatchSafe Pro provides a dedicated Batch Control interface where users can:
- Search by product reference or label
- Search by batch / lot number
- Filter by status
- Display or hide zero-stock lots
- View available stock
- Open individual lot records
- Review current lot status
The interface is responsive and suitable for desktop, tablet and smartphone use.
Status workflow
Each batch can move through controlled operational statuses.
| Status | Typical meaning |
|---|---|
| Available | Lot is available for normal operations. |
| In quarantine | Lot is temporarily blocked pending review. |
| Under inspection | Quality-control or inspection activities are in progress. |
| Released | Lot has been approved for normal warehouse use. |
| Rejected | Lot has failed review or quality requirements and is blocked. |
| Recalled | Lot has been recalled and must not be used for normal outbound operations. |
Critical status changes such as quarantine, rejection or recall can require a reason.
Status history and traceability
BatchSafe Pro records lot status changes with traceability information including:
- Previous status
- New status
- User
- Date and time
- Reason
- Note
This provides a clear history of batch decisions and supports internal review and audit activities.
Zero-stock lot filtering
Lots with zero available stock can be hidden from the operational Batch Control list.
A dedicated option allows users to display zero-stock lots when historical review is required.
LabQC Pro integration
When LabQC Pro is installed, BatchSafe Pro can synchronize lot status with laboratory quality-control workflows.
Typical behavior includes:
- New QC test → Under inspection
- Finalized PASS → Released
- Finalized FAIL / OOS → Rejected
Existing manual critical holds are preserved and are not silently overwritten by automatic synchronization.
LabQC Pro integration is optional.
Warehouse Scanner Pro integration
When Warehouse Scanner Pro is installed, BatchSafe Pro can protect warehouse operations according to lot status.
Typical outbound behavior:

The blocking reason is displayed directly to the warehouse operator.
Receiving stock remains possible for blocked lots so incoming stock can still be recorded without making the lot eligible for outbound operations.
FEFO protection
When BatchSafe Pro and Warehouse Scanner Pro are used together, blocked lots can be excluded from normal FEFO selection.
Available and Released lots remain eligible, while blocked statuses can be prevented from being selected for outbound operations.
A manually entered blocked lot is still checked before the stock movement is created.
Inventory and Undo protection
BatchSafe Pro integration can also protect indirect stock decreases.
Examples include:
- Negative inventory adjustments on blocked lots
- Undo operations that would decrease a blocked lot
These operations can be refused when the current lot status does not permit stock removal.
Independent operation
BatchSafe Pro does not require LabQC Pro or Warehouse Scanner Pro.
It can be used independently for manual batch status management.
The integrations provide additional automated quality and warehouse protection when the related modules are installed.
Installation
- Download the BatchSafe Pro package.
- Go to Home → Setup → Modules/Applications in Dolibarr.
- Install or upload the module package.
- Enable BatchSafe Pro.
- Make sure lot / serial number management is enabled for products that require batch control.
- Configure user permissions as required.
